Kingdom Workers Work Together

  • Kingdom Workers Work Together - Lane

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Obviously, I’m grateful for our independence. But that’s not the only reason I love it. To me, July 4th screams everything summer. Hot dogs and pool parties. Tank tops and American flag blankets. And, most importantly, fireworks.

Maybe you’re not able to buy fireworks in your city, but growing up, I spent a small fortune on fireworks. My favorite were Black cats. The little firecrackers, came in a strings of about 100, and didn’t do anything but pop, creating a little explosion.

There are two schools of thought in Black cat popping. You either untie one, light it, pop it, one at a time. Or you unwrap them and light the giant fuse, popping all one hundred at the same time.

Me, I'm a bigger the better kind of guy. These little fireworks are so much more powerful when they are connected. Kingdom workers are the same way. You have a choice: you can work alone, and when you do, you get one little pop, or you can tie yourself to 99 other firecrackers and blow up a can of green beans.

Want to make a difference? Pray about an issue with a friend. Help someone accomplish a goal. Start a Bible study with a group of people. Whatever you do for the Kingdom, don’t do it alone. Kingdom workers work together.
