Field Notes is more than a journal—it’s a tool to help students stay spiritually grounded and engaged throughout their mission trip experience, either domestic or abroad. It shapes Kingdom Workers in real time, helping students see that God is already at work, and they get to be part of it.

Each Field Notes book helps students process what they’re learning and seeing each day and gives them space to write down the stories God is writing through them. With devotionals built around the 7 Mission Principles, this journal connects the hands-on experience of serving to the heart of Kingdom Work that lasts far beyond the trip itself.

Inside, you’ll find:

• 7 Devotionals tied to the 7 Mission Principles
• Guided prompts for prayer, reflection, and journaling
• Activities and questions to track group moments (funny & serious)
• Post-trip space for reflection, prayer, and “what’s next”
• A 72-page keepsake to remember the stories God is writing through each person’s life

7 Mission Principles:

• Church Matters
• God is Already Working
• Cultures are Beautiful and Broken
• Poverty is Everywhere
• Do Things With, Not For People
• Observation Before Interpretation
• Missions is a Lifestyle

Field Notes can be used on their own, or for the full experience, pair with Mission Trip Training: 7 Principles to Last Beyond the Trip which is a four-session, video led resource that seamlessly plugs into pre and post-trip meetings.
