“Where the River Divides” is a short film that tells the story of Dennis Okoth, a Kenyan in the 1970s. The film follows Dennis as he returns to his village as a Christian and is faced with choosing to follow in his father’s footsteps to lead his clan or face the ultimate penalty of disgracing his inheritance and his culture.
Themes from the film include:

This experience can be used with an audience to process these themes after viewing. The experience is intended to happen in a different location than where the film is viewed. This could be an outdoor location, or a separate meeting space such as a gymnasium, fellowship hall, or other larger gathering area.
